Ingredients

  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup cauliflower florets
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup green beans, trimmed
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup zucchini, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash all vegetables thoroughly under cold water.
  2. Cut broccoli and cauliflower into florets.
  3. Slice carrots, zucchini, and bell peppers.
  4. Trim the green beans.
  5. Fill a large pot with 2 inches of water and bring to a simmer.
  6. Place a steamer basket in the pot.
  7. Add broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots to the basket.
  8. Cover and steam for 5 minutes.
  9. Add green beans, bell peppers, and zucchini.
  10. Cover and steam for another 5–7 minutes until tender-crisp.
  11. Transfer vegetables to a bowl.
  12. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice.
  13. Season with salt and pepper.
  14. Toss gently to combine.
  15. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.

Notes

Do not overcook the vegetables to preserve color, texture, and nutrients.
