  • 2 ounces hot water (about 175°F, not boiling)
  • 68 ounces cold milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Sweetener to taste (optional: maple syrup, honey, agave, or vanilla syrup)

Instructions

  1. Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl to remove any clumps.
  2. Add 2 ounces of hot water (175°F) to the matcha.
  3. Whisk in a zig-zag motion with a bamboo whisk or frother until smooth and frothy.
  4. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  5. Pour in the cold milk over the ice.
  6. Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the milk.
  7. Stir gently and add sweetener if desired.
