  • 12 ounces whole wheat pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: 1 cup baby spinach
  • Optional: 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • Optional: 1/4 cup capers

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and thaw lobster if frozen.
  2. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Sauté chopped onion for 5 minutes until translucent.
  5. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Stir in crushed tomatoes and combine well.
  7. Pour in heavy cream and stir until smooth.
  8. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes to blend flavors.
  9. Add Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  10. Fold in cooked lobster gently to coat in sauce.
  11. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat. Use reserved pasta water if needed.
  12. Stir in fresh basil and parsley. Save some for garnish.

Use fresh lobster if possible for maximum flavor. Avoid overcooking lobster to prevent a rubbery texture. Simmer sauce gently to maintain creaminess. Customize with sun-dried tomatoes or spinach for variety.
